Those of us who remember the days of Bush’s stem cell research ban know that they absolutely can stop science. And this shit is so much worse because it’s so indiscriminate and cruel. Like literally pro-disease.
They’ve already set shit back years by ending trials mid-trial, cutting grants for things already underway, not fulfilling existing contracts, etc. and it’s just getting started.
We’ll be set back decades by the time 4 years is up. And it will take years to recover, if it’s even possible.
