I’m not sure they should be. At a large enough school, there’s plenty of staff you’d never interact with, a person you’d never know was a student or a teacher if you met them outside of school.
Granted it’s still an ethical problem due to age, though I don’t know the age of consent law wherever this is. College is where it really gets less clear cut and more messy.
