The Trump White House is planning to send a second rescissions request to Capitol Hill in the coming weeks, hoping to extract a legislative stamp of approval for its efforts to impound funding that was previously authorized by Congress.
And once again, all we can do is wait and see if any of the thousands of people with the authority to fight this will lift a finger to do so.
And my prediction is no - they won’t. Between the cowards and the co-conspirators, there’s nobody left who will even try to stop the overthrow of the US givernment and the establishment of a plutocratic autocracy in its place.
Honestly I don’t know what the point of Congress is anymore. It seems like they’ve given up all their power. Why are we paying for their salaries? Is it just a place for rich people to get free health care for the rest of their lives? And a fat pension on our tax dollars?
