I honestly can’t remember a time when a horn has alerted me to something I needed to be aware of. Sirens here definitely aren’t used in that way. Besides which you can see the stroving lights reflecting off things. You don’t need line of sight. If headphones were such an impediment to safe driving they would be illegal. They’re not.
