In a world where trolling was done as a recreational activity, this was a good strategy. This is not that world anymore, though, this is a world where right wing fight clubs are popping up in dozens of countries. Trolls are no longer recreational, they’re trying to slowly and gradually change the world in their image.
You’ve never needed everyone for something, that’s unrealistic. A village doesn’t require the exact same behavior from all people to function smoothly, and any such bottleneck would create weaknesses anyway. You just need that to be the prevailing culture.

You can put almost any beef in chili, nobody will notice because it’s fully submersed in a stew that tastes like chili. So why use the most expensive beef on the planet for it? Unless it’s just fake Wagyu, which tbf, I guess it probably is at that price point. Still a dumb marketing gimmick to anyone that knows anything about beef.

The problem is that it is very hard to eradicate an idea violently. It just goes into hiding and bides its time, unless you just want to do a full genocide or something. I mean, it’s not like people stand up and volunteer for their own execution when they know certain folks are being executed.
You’d also need to make it immune to the various antibiotics that work on it. Otherwise it’s not particularly difficult to treat with modern medicine.

Water flows towards dissolved solutes, and honey has tons of solute and little water, so water will flow out of bacteria into the honey until an equilibrium is reached. Bacteria can’t survive that level of dessication.
Then if you want to make mead, the first thing you have to do is add a bunch of water so bacteria can grow.

The purpose of a legal system is to provide stability to a society, so that a person can safely pursue long term goals over their lifetime in a predictable environment.
The most effective way to accomplish this is to make a system where laws originate from a process where people are allowed to have some say in the creation of the laws that will apply to them, and the laws are then applied uniformly, consistently and fairly to all people regardless of background.
Our system partially fulfils this.
Can anyone think of a case where opening fire on unarmed citizens actually caused unrest to die down? Because I can’t think of a single case. Even in Russia, the Russian Revolution of 1905 was sparked off by firing on civilians.

This. There was a dramatic shift in his behavior pre-stroke to post-stroke. He also underwent treatment for depression afterwards. It definitely altered his brain.
That isn’t about me being smart. Really it’s just about reading the article.
You can’t just say

and seriously expect me to not point out that’s not what the article says, after I specifically asked that. Either information is accurate, or it is not. Factuality is important, especially these days. It’s not some minor detail, either, had all the images been deleted, it’s likely my overall argument would’ve been incorrect based on the actual evidence.
Then it is no longer necessary to keep bringing it up. It’s frustrating when everyone pretends I’m trying to defend Israeli positions or something instead of simply pointing out that in this one particular case, it’s unlikely to be some coverup conspiracy despite everyone’s rabid wishes for it to be one. The IDF commits plenty of war crimes, but that does not make everything they do another one.
I frankly don’t care if I convince you or not. I am not trying to sell something. I am, however, not going to be swayed away from what I think is correct, either. You all are absolutely trying to sell something, and I ain’t buying.
