FosterMolasses@leminal.spaceto World News@lemmy.world•Cuba's huge leap forward in trans rights– citizens can now legally choose genderEnglish12·2 days agoWow. I know I say this a lot but I really mean it this time.
That’s fucking crazy. (In a good way)
Seriously, good for them.
FosterMolasses@leminal.spaceto Technology@lemmy.world•The Age-Checked Internet Has ArrivedEnglish121·2 days agoI feel like people are downplaying how dangerous even the possibility of #2 is. A lot of nations are already targeting the LGBTQ community on a regular basis and this would massively assist to streamline persecution of “certain” citizens as well as the rapid spread of religious dogma. Both the U.S. and Australia are current testing grounds for these outcomes.

They’re just projecting their failures as inadequate parents because they didn’t realize how hard child rearing would be after knocking up their high school sweetheart and buying a white picket fence. One petition signer who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community said they were concerned that banning sexual-based games would be the start of cracking down on LGBTQ+ content.
There it is.
Seconded. There’s almost zero solidarity most of the time in the trans community when it comes to trans-men, who often get treated as though they should just vie for themselves. It’s almost like some sort of reflexive trauma of not wanting to associate with anything remotely masculine post-op.
I’ve seen trans-men literally get berated and put down for being enthusiastic about anything remotely masculine, be it sports or clothing, 24/7 by other trans people. They fucking hate them.
