Dismissing the article as not being “news” is exactly the same sentiment as the news being “obvious”.

It’s not new information to you, but you are just speaking for yourself. Rather than holding back to avoid annoying people like you, I’d rather things be shared freely to inform the masses.

I wouldn’t call those virtues. Those are values or principles they have, but they don’t reflect high moral standards.
