If a flag is allowed to be in the list (they put the UN flag there), I’d argue that the US flag, EU flag, or Nazi flag are more easily recognizable.

It’s literally called الخليج العربي ( Khaleej al Arabi (Arabian Gulf) It’s marked as that on maps in the Middle East.
