Yes of course a fridge does not condensate nearly as much as a room A/C coil. Curious where you found information that says they purposefully designed it to not drain off. And how splashing water onto a coil would make it more efficient? Also, though I havnt done any deep search, from experience most window units are a hassle to access the coil for deep cleaning other than from through the filter. The midea unit is actually decent in accessing the entire face of the coil and fins can be cleaned by removing filter and with no tools opening up the entire face of the indoor unit (this would basically only be covered in dust) much better than older units I’ve tried to work on.

It seems the recall for the mold was essentially forgetting to put a drain for excessesive condensate. I havnt gotten a response yet. Did you get a response from them? Sucks that unit is awesome. And quiet. I thought it was funny they didn’t leave condensate tap to run a drain. I kinda assumed they figured out how to evaporate it in away like a refrigerator. They are made really well otherwise and have great user controls. Even the mounting bracket are next level.

Not happening IMO. Though its important to distinguish that the general public and business sentiment act as if LLMs are already some kinda legitimate intelligence. So I think a pretty ugly acceptance and hard dependence on these technologies in the form of altering our public infrastructure and destroying the planet will lead to some hellscapien future for sure… All the stuff you mentioned and more. All without even reaching this level of AGI as it is understood currently.

The tops are not in. I wouldn’t go further without fixing correctly. No amount if pitch on a trap arm is gonna fix that

Would not recommend that RV trap. Will get very funked up on hand sink with toothpaste and hand soap. Slope doesn’t matter much on such a small run. If your pushing the arm up you are adding more pitch which won’t hurt especially if solids are not running down it.

Can’t really understand where your clearance issue is. But it sounds like the outlet at the wall is to close to the base of the cabinet? If so u can try to modify the cabinet base/ cut a hole for the bottom shelf to make room for the trap. If the outlet is too high for the base of the sink you could try a low inlet trap. Otherwise if you have room for extra fittings you can 90/ elbow up right at the wall and then 90 back out for your trap.

Or just jam that shit up at an angle. The problem will come when that cocks the trap at an angle that you cant get a tight connection onto the tailpiece coming down of the popup on the sink. Don’t recommend slinky pipes but its not my house so do what you want.
