I would assume that this would lead to a rise in mercury mining instead of cleaning up Mercury contaminations, because that would probably be cheaper. And I don’t think mercury mining is any less toxic than gold mining.

As a RADAR guy I have to say they need RADAR, but I might be biased. I suppose LIDAR would be nice too. There’s something called sensor fusion where you combine the measurements of different sensors, ideally using different technologies to get better measurements.
It is impressive how bad it is.
Small scale installations on regular houses are probably not the best for grid forming. Any pv installation with grid forming capability would be required to give some control to the grid operator because it’s their job to keep the grid stable.
That was Fraunhofer IIS not ISE.
All MCU films after Endgame, also all Ant-Man films.
Cognates? Mate, unless you work for some company stuck in the 60s the entire tech jargon is english, it’s the exact same words.
Afaik pay isn’t that bad, it’s working conditions that suck.
Depending on your field tech jargon is probably all english even in Germany.
Be that as it may, I honestly don’t see what difference that would make in regards to OP’s point…
OP said that it’s from the Fairphone website. The website has separate settings for language and region, language is shown in English and in the language itself, i.e. “Dutch / Nederlands”, region is shown in the current language. So the website is actually doing what OP wants.
Flags don’t represent languages and therefore shouldn’t be used to represent languages.
But that’s definitely (hopefully?) not going to happen if they pull out of NATO.
Trucks? If you move coal for a power plant using trucks you’re going to need a lot of trucks, you use trains or ships instead, or just build the power plant next to the mine and use conveyor belts.
Coal is unreliable
How? I would’ve said coal is very reliable, it worked for over a hundred years.
It’s also devolving, having less features, being slower/less optimised and so on. Cramming “AI” into it isn’t devolving, it’s enshitification
Yes and no, I don’t have an account but I also don’t use the frontpage because why would I, it’s empty. When you watch a video you still get the recommendations in the sidebar.
I think the main problem is that there isn’t much besides politics and memes. Most communities that aren’t politics seem to devolve into meme communities.
That actually sounds like a reasonable response.
If you give the driver enough time to act, which tesla doesn’t. They turn it off a second before impact and then claim it wasn’t in self-driving mode.
It’s a joke ever since Henry Kissinger got one.
Who gives a shit about the gold price except for some idiots who think it has some inherent value beyond some applications in electronics.
