    The app I sometimes have to use to watch a basketball game really shouldn’t rebrand as much as it does. I’m starting to think the CEO might be the dumbest fuck alive.

        I mean. Not many. At least in the entertainment industry. This fuck gets 250 mil a year, and pulls movies from distribution to save 40 mil instead of take a pay cut. He’s single handedly fucked Hollywood into the ground so hard, that large American studios are likely never going to recover.

        Warner Brothers has already been fed into the wood chipper for parts, and not much is left. They literally sold the rights to their own theme music (As time goes by 1962) in an accidental bulk sale of their own properties. This idiot sold so much of what made Warner Bros, he now has the company paying someone else to use their own jingle.

        That GQ article didn’t go hard enough, and was pulled because billionaires have thin skin from the complete lack of skills their money has insulated them from developing.

        I like how he’s pissed off every major and micro-demographic. Prestige TV fans. Sports fans. Comic book fans. People who watch reruns of Bones at 2am to help them fall asleep. Old men watching Shawshank Redemption for the 300th time because they’d rather die than pay money for digital media. Probably horse girls, somehow.

    Fucking lol. 6 weeks ago the brand team just changed all the brand colors again. They went from purple back to black.

    Somewhere in NY there is a sign company making a shitload of money swapping signs off the HBO building every few weeks.

    When I worked for a company that was constantly pivoting and rebranding like this, it was the writing on the wall that indicated the ship was sinking. It was sold to a competitor at a major loss a year later

    rethinks ability to compete with netflix

    Yeah, I canceled my subscription like 2 years ago, loosing my prize of 30% discount in the process (it was a thing since I had HBO GO). I don’t know if it’s a regional thing but there was just nothing new or interresting there. I remember just constant superheroes and Harry Potter. Went for Netflix and never looked back. So, good luck I guess, hopefully they change
