Fuck yes. This is starting to be about simply: “who is a good person?” It’s us, and fuck them. Our side is about freedom, personal liberty, empathy, and moving FORWARD as a society.
I agree with this applied to those in power. But our family and neighbors can come back from this with a little humble empathy from us when they do.
I’m prepared to give that empathy while also, now, recognizing in my life that these are toxic people and their political stances are harming other innocent people, and all of us as a country. Personally I’m holding even my closest loved ones at a distance until they develop empathy themselves. An ignorant villain is still a villain

Trump is straight up dangerous because of how unhinged this senile orange is and how retaliatory he is for anything that mildly offends his stupid ass. This is how dictators behave and surprise to no one, Trump behaves like a dictator. Nothing but constant stupid threats, punishment of people who disagree with him, military parades and praising of other dictators of the world. He’s 5 months into his second term and he has fucked up EVERYTHING. He just needs to be removed from power, one way or the other. I frankly don’t really care how at this point. Courts move so slowly and he seems to have no regards for existing laws. So, use your imagination on alternative methods.
To all the Americans, ask yourselves, has anything in past 5 months indicated that Trump gives a shit about anyone other than himself and his corrupt rich buddies? You think he gives a shit about cost of healthcare, groceries (especially eggs) and gas, everything that is so beautiful and at the lowest prices ever, but only in his orange head and nowhere else? Somehow, I’m significantly more worried about a local theatre’s actors, or that girl who pays for college drawing people’s pets under commission, or that internet comic creator who lives with his parents… Rather than worrying about how the political climate will affect famous Hollywood personalities.
I am not sure what you actually want to tell us? Obviously someone struggling to get by worries us far easier. But this is not a competition, we all need to work together.
I can guarantee you that Pedro Pascal isn’t struggling, and I’d love it if we could “work together” as you said on actual art, not fast food style commercial mega-productions.

I get class solidarity, but when someone uses their platform to speak truth to power and encourage systemic improvement it’s not useful to bitch and bicker like this. It’s a good thing, we should take it as a good thing and use that momentum. Not devolve into the infighting that makes our side so ineffective because we are all trying to be better people, and help each other be better. That makes us morally superior, but also makes it difficult to operate as an effective unit and play like a team, like the right does. They hate and they unify, they don’t divide themselves like this over everything they can find. The fact that we do hold all of ourselves to a higher standard is a good thing, but we need to snap out of it before we let them win the country forever based on our lack of unity. Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good, especially in this historical moment
