Thousands of Israelis have joined a state-funded march through the Muslim quarter of the Old City in Jerusalem, where large groups chanted racist slogans including “Gaza is ours”, “death to the Arabs” and “may their villages burn”.
I’m starting to see more and more people saying things as “hitler did not finish the job” and images like these only make it worse. Israel is going down in a spiral towards nazism that makes more and more people be less concerned about being antisemitic.
Zionism is not hebraism, but the effort they are putting on making everyone believe so and the effort they are putting on appearing as nazis to the rest of the world, makes it difficult to feel empathy towards them if someone ever decides to go against them once again.
Absolutely. The conditions that made the Middle East go from the most tolerant place of Jews on Earth to the most antisemitic place on Earth are being replicated worldwide, though to a lesser degree.
I’d argue that the “lesser degree” is not so lesser anymore. And it’s not that difficult to understand anymore. One year ago, you wouldn’t say “fuck israel” because you thought that the problem wasn’t israel but the nazi in charge.
Today? Today you think that maybe they put a nazi in charge because there was some wishful thinking on it from the population.
It has been really obvious to anyone paying attention that normal, moderate Israelis have wanted this and worked towards this for over fifty years, though…
