So much is happening here. So much. Attacks going out of pak for an hour and a half.
India had sent in even more unprovoked missiles right before this. Pak intercepted those and then sent back their attack.
BIG ATTACK. More than 20 targets already.
I barely know anything about the conflict, but this comment section is wild.
India v Paki coming from behind in global flashpoint race to WW3. Its now neck and neck and neck between:
- India V Paki
- Israel V Palestine/Lebanon/Houthi/Iran
- New Syria V Syria (new)
- China V Taiwan
- China V Philippines
- Ukraine V Russia
- US V Houthis/Iran
- America: The Meme V America: The Dream
Australia V the Emus doesn’t even rate anymore.
I wonder if this will kick-start WW3. I’ve got my doomsday prep kit ready just in case. It’s a camping chair and a bottle of Southern Comfort. I like to try and maintain realistically low expectations.
nah. foreign powers are completely uninterested, so this will remain a local conflict. there’s nothing there to forcibly draw other countries in as well
Most of Europes pharmaceutical drugs are sourced from India these days. India is crucial for Russia to launder its oil to circumvent EU sanctions. India is a huge producer of a lot of other things. An all out war would likely also involve a lot of cyber warfare which would affects the large IT outsourced to India and will likely hit a lot of “bystanders”. China might use the weakness of India to move up in its border conflict with them…
India and Pakistan represent about 15-20% of the global population. This absolutely has the potential to draw other powers in.
Did anyone having Pakistan and India going hot on 2025 bingo card?
On my World War Z card, yes.
Bro, stay safe.
Thank you. All well here right now.
Okay am I the only one who thinks this doesn’t bode well for democracy in the region? Modi will obviously use this as a chance to consolidate power, and the Pakistani army’s political role will likely see a resurgence after years of democratization.
years of democratization.
They literally removed and jailed the last PM on very shaky grounds.
I don’t know how legitimate his jailing was, but he (you’re talking about Imran Khan right?) was removed by a vote of no confidence, which at least on paper is a perfectly democratic affair. According to Wikipedia,
The Armed Forces has historically played an influential role in the country’s politics,[11][12] although it has declined in recent years.
After the resignation of President Pervez Musharraf in 2008, a sharp line has been drawn between the “military establishment” and politics and Pakistan is moving closer to becoming a democracy after general elections in 2013.
They’re not a democracy in any sense of the word, but things seem to be improving compared to the army’s political heyday.
but things seem to be improving compared to the army’s political heyday.
Not really. This cycle keeps repeating. They have a few elections before army exercises control again.
Oh shit.
Massive cyber attacks too. 70% of Indian power out. A lot of hacking going on. Massive MASSIVE coordinated attack
70% of Indian power out
What the fuck are you on about?
There’s no power outage here.
I was just gonna comment about that lol.
That’s fucking nuts.
congrats on defacing a website, this is clown tier hacking
pakistan continuing to push Indias buttons by the looks of it, this will not end well for them
Oh there is a claim regarding hundreds of websites alongside a LOT of data leaks including internal communications of the Indian air force. Similarly claims of access to over 2500 cameras in various important places.
I just shared one screenshot there. There’s a mass attack as i said.
it’s not true though, 70% of indian power isn’t out
Yeah I don’t know what this guy is on about.
You have a source? 70% is inasane.
Not yet independently confirmed. I would add, please ignore any Indian media on all matters, either follow non Asian media outlets or Pakistani.
The Indian media has been TERRIBLE.
I’m not going take either side’s word. If it’s anywhere near 70% there will satellite photos in a few hours.
Well I’m in India, and there’s no such thing. This whole thread reeks of misinformation. I hope the mods take care of baseless claims being spread.
They haven’t hit the power infra in any way.
That sounds more unlikely than 70%. Going by history the truth will end up being a sub station in a northern province blew. Something stupid and isolated that Pakistan will play up and India will play down. Let’s see what the AP, BBC, RT, Al and CNN report tomorrow.
That sounds more unlikely than 70%.
Based on what proof exactly?
70 % power grid is definately not out.
Work at a industrial area and everything is fine here no problems not even a whisper of war caused problems except lack of police at daily checkposts
Do you have a link? I don’t think a screenshot can be considered a source.
Absolutely. I just used that to make it convenient for people. But you’re right, a link is needed.
Thats my bad.
PS. The state run PTV is not the only source but the one aljazeera mentioned. Perhaps its not 70% (I personally dont think it could be that vast) but I do believe they managed something
What makes you believe that? Sensationalized unverified nonsense is just as bad as fake news, in fact it’s worse because people like you think “well it’s a big official news outlet what they say must be happening for real as I’m sure they’ve researched it” but their only motivation is money and being “first to report”. Explain your analysis of the quality of the fact-checking, access to legitimate sources and on-the-ground reporting of any not-directly-involved media organization that’s reporting on this and I’ll give you a pass. There’s nothing from Al-Jazeera, and not even any opposing propaganda available because as they admit, “This claim could not be independently verified by Al Jazeera. The Indian government has yet to comment.”
So far, I don’t see a single corroborating source with any sort first-hand information at all. It’s very easy to copy and paste what government propaganda says and present it as news, and when it’s sensational it can get lots of clicks and ad money. That doesn’t mean it is real and I can’t see any reason you would have to believe any of this, and if you do, maybe you’d like to buy this bridge I’ve got for sale.
you are doing the worst job at propaganda ever mate 🤣
Yeah this is the most ham fisted go at it.
Please do not refer to any South Asian media on this matter. Refer to the Associated Press only.
Pakistan has been shockingly responsible throughout this.
Indian media and authorities have been very inflammatory.
The targets are military sites. The operation name and goal are very publically mant to target military sites. Unlike operation sindoor which painted a picture of attacking ‘terrorists’ (non military targets).
These are sites India has used to attack Pakistan. Pakistan has been slow to retaliate but has managed a very successful operation.
Meanwhile Pakistan has also consistently offered proof of everything they have done instantly.
I’m not sure one can say that the Pakistani government has been responsible as it has allowed the militant group that was previously funded by Osama Bin Laden and committed the 2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai to continue to exist on its soil.
That said, I am by no means absolving India’s Hindu nationaliat government for the injustice of revoking article 370.
“shockingly responsible” apparently
yet they just announced:
“An eye for an eye”, “Pakistan responds”. These are statements by Pakistan’s military as it discusses what it’s called Operation Bunyanun Marsoos.
🙄
BLAST OVER MY HEAD. SOMEWHERE NEXT TO MY HOUSE. NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS HEARD IT.
Possibly a drone. Havent seen anything yet.
Edit: broiler blast, not a drone.
Pak defense heavily deployed. Navy, air force etc.
Meanwhile people out in the streets here
Delhi catching up on what has happened NOW.
People you can see videos of all this on yt too. Geo is a reliable channel.
Pakistani drones in Delhi!!! Panic in Delhi. This is massive.
Indian military briefing cancelled with all this.
Pakistani drones in Delhi!!! Panic in Delhi. This is massive.
Really?
https://old.reddit.com/r/delhi/new/
Lol. Lmao. Who’s upvoting this bullshit?
Pakistani drones in Delhi!!! Panic in Delhi. This is massive.
Lol. Who’s up voting this nonsense.
Guess WWIII has officially kicked off.
It’s not officially a world war until every FIFA confederation has a representative.
Australia and Indonesian Papua being in Asia is kind of bullshit but I don’t make the rules.
This map is accurate, I am Australian and we have sunk back beneath the sea where we belong
Pakistan has not targeted a single civilian. This does give both countries an off ramp.
This is an out. This is how both nations have a way to calm down. India celebrate no loss of life when pak attack and attacking terrorist sites.
Pakistan celebrate attacking their military and getting the ‘military win’.
Modi gets his win, pak army get their win. The powerful parties on both sides get something here.
Having said this India will escalate now.
The mood in Pakistan is sombre. Noone has wanted any of this. From the beginning. The Indian media has a lot of blamento take in this saga. And so does the far right in India
Pakistan has not targeted a single civilian.
Again. Not true. Dude, are you getting paid to peddle this bs or are you doing this for free? A civilian in Jammu was killed today in cross border firing. This is aside from the civilians who were killed day before in Kashmir.
Why did Pakistan attack gurudwaras in Poonch, again? Why are they targeting Indian cities?
The Indian media killed all those tourists?? Wow ok. Today I learned.
Eh, we’re still in the prelude I think. Think second Sino-Japanese war. When China attacks Taiwan and belligerents all over the world align that’s when it’ll be a proper world war.
I hope TF not.
Pakistan just attacked a ‘terrorism training camp’ in India.
Pak and Afghanistan are the biggest victims of terrorism. Pakistan has long trained and protected terrorists.
But Pakistan has also long claimed India funds and trains some militants and sends em into pak.
The last attack seems to have targeted one such site. Not good. Not good at all. Although this is still a military site, thr claim of a terrorist training camp is politically charged and won’t go over well.
I’m getting bombed soon 😭
